Decades ago, Paul Frias began his journey under the tutelage of Carlos Garcia, widely regarded as one of Bermuda’s most accomplished carpenters. As an apprentice, Paul learned not only how to work with wood, but how to approach the craft with pride, precision, and integrity. Those early years laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong vocation.
More than 30 years ago, Paul established Frias Carpentry as a true one-man operation. Working out of a small workshop in Southampton, he designed, built, and installed custom cabinetry entirely by hand. From loading the truck and managing tools to carrying and installing cabinets on his own, Paul handled every detail personally. His reputation grew steadily, built on quality workmanship and word-of-mouth trust.
As the years went on, the industry,and customer needs,began to change. Homeowners increasingly sought factory-made, customizable cabinetry and complete solutions rather than fully handcrafted builds. Recognizing this shift, Frias Carpentry evolved.
The business expanded from custom fabrication into importing kitchen cabinets, closets, and vanities for clients across Bermuda. That evolution allowed the company to offer greater choice, consistency, and value,while still maintaining the standards that defined the Frias name.
Today, Frias Carpentry is proudly a family-run business. Paul Frias continues to bring decades of experience and craftsmanship to every project.

While the business initially sourced products from the United States, changing trade conditions and tariffs made Canada a better alternative.
